Marine Drive
Marine Drive is one of the most important landmarks in Mumbai. Featuring an arc-shaped boulevard, it stretches for about 3.6 km. Hanging Gardens is a terrace garden that is located atop Malabar Hill. It overlooks the Arabian Sea and was built in the year 1880 by Ulhas Gopalkar. Prince of Wales Museum
The Prince of Wales Museum is a splendid structure that is renowned as one of the many heritage buildings in the city of Mumbai. The foundation stone of this structure was laid on 11th November 1905 and it was established as a museum on 10th January 1922. This museum is set amidst an expansive garden that is adorned with stone and latticework. The architecture of this building is a blend of Indian, Mughal and British styles of architecture. The museum houses about 50,000 artefacts that detail the rich and diverse history of India.
This museum has recently been renamed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sanghrahalay and is considered as one of the most prominent museums in India.
